Carolingios

The Carolingian castle was destroyed by the Norman invasion, repaired in 885, and again destroyed again by the Normans in the tenth century During the Hundred Years War, the British burned it in 1359, and Charles V of France ordered rebuild in 1369. In the sixteenth century, Francis I sent to demolish it and allowed the local people benefit from the materials, while the city walling. Today is only the chapel.
