Grecia Acrópolis

Its author is Pericles, is made by white marble from Mount Penteli, from the tiles to the columns. It is located in Greece. It took nine years to be built. The Acropolis was literally the Upper Town and was present in most of the Greek cities, with a dual function: to host defense and the main places of worship. It stands about 156 meters above the sea. Acropolis was used to make sacrifices. Much of the architectural buildings forming the Acropolis were built during the time of Pericles (499 a. C.-429 a.), After the destruction of the previous buildings caused by the Persian forces of Xerxes I. The ancient temple of Athena, which housed a statue of Athena Polias, was replaced by Erecteión.6 The Parthenon was built on the remains of an earlier temple, called Hecatompedon or Prepartenón.
